BALTIMORE AREA CHAMPIONS!
The team held on against a flurry of grab bag buzzing from Parkville and
Perry Hall to claim the Baltimore area championship for 2006, winning $5000 for
the team.
Alyssa, Owen and Christine harnessed the power of Paikea, now 4 pieces strong, 4.5 million year old whale vertebrae won by Alyssa's parents and coach Bob Jenkins at Centennial's Coaches' tournament. Thanks to the Seifter family for providing us with the fourth piece--we'll be calling for the fifth one this week.
The team competes for the It's Academic Superbowl May 20 at WRC4 in Washington, D.C. against Charlottesville and the winner of Richard Montgomery, Gonzaga, and Walter Johnson, which will be played Saturday morning.
