The team competes in regional tournaments hosted by Universities and high schools in the D.C. and Baltimore Metropolitan area. The competition is usually quite fierce, as the 1300-student Hammond faces private, tech-magnet, and other public high schools in the area. (We've been in more tournaments than this, but I forgot to update the list until now, and I can't remember how we finished in those until I look through my files.)

Spalding Cavalier Challenge Doug Tilley, Steve Kaltenbaugh, Abby Keller, Avram Gottschlich won 8 of 9 matches, including first time victories against Gonzaga, Franklin and Thomas Jefferson B. The team's lone loss came against Eleanor Roosevelt's Cavalier champion A team in the semi-final. |
