English Department

Eight members strong, Hammond High School’s English Department maintains a reputation of excellence. Highly diversified professionals, we are committed to our school’s philosophy, “Where people are important.”  Exploring the universal experience of life. In teaching composition, the department encourages creative,  analytical and critical writing , as well as develops the students’ higher level thinking skills. Through challenges and high expectations, our team promotes an academically stimulating learning environment which values diversity and commonality among students. We are a dedicated team who values and stresses the importance of continual, self-directed education.
