The Hammond High School Boosters
would like to thank all of our volunteers
who make the Boosters activities so successful!
New!
Commemorative Brick Program: The
HHS Boosters has reinstituted the commemorative
brick program at Hammond! This is an opportunity for students,
staff and alumni affiliated with Hammond High School to leave their mark
on the school. The original program installed bricks in the sidewalk near
the main office. The reinstituted program will install a new brick
patio in the grassy
area around the flagpole in front of the school. (See
Picture.) The patio will
begin in the center around the flagpole and can be expanded until the
entire grassy area between the front doors is replaced by a beautiful
brick patio. When
finished, this patio will include hundreds of personalized bricks that
will last
a lifetime.
Each
brick is 4" X 8" X 2 ¼" and can be personalized
to hold 3 lines of 15
letters. Leave a lasting memory of the mark that YOU left on Hammond.
The
cost is $80 per brick, $150 for 2 bricks. Eighty dollars may sound
like a lot of money;
however, many organizations charge $100 dollars or more per brick. Orders
for this year will be accepted until Monday, June 2, 2008. The new
brick patio
will be installed prior to the start of the 2008-2009 school year. We
need
100 orders to initiate the program. Please pass along this information
to your neighbors
who have kids that graduated from Hammond over the last few years. We
will be posting a notice in the Columbia Flier, however, we do not have
a viable
mechanism to contact them directly.
