Program Overview

One of the outcomes of the Teen Summit was increased access to computers
after school in the media center.
This need was expressed during the June 2007
Teen Summit for School Improvement and Hammond is now offering these opportunities for our students.

The After School Homework Program will be every Tuesday and Thursday from
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the media center.

This new opportunity is evidence
of how important it is for our students to be able
to provide input on how Hammond High School can move from a good school to a great school.

Program Guidelines

Students must followthese guidelines if they want to take advantage of this opportunity:
       1. Students must be in the media center no later than 2:30p.m. Students
arriving after 2:30p.m. must have a pass from a teacher or coach.
       2. Students must sign in leaving their printed name and date. Students will
also sign out after completing their homework.
       3. Students must come ready and prepared to work and use their time             productively. Students must be engaged in homework or other school-related             studies to remain in the media center.

4. Students making inappropriate use of the media center computers (ie:            inappropriate websites, etc.) will be asked to leave and will no longer be            allowed to attend the After School Homework Program.
