The Dance Department at Hammond offers five levels of dance instruction: introduction, intermediate, advanced, junior company and company. Students are taught ballet, jazz, modern, ethnic and tap. All dance students have the opportunity to perform in two dance concerts a year. Placement in Junior Company and Company are by audition.

2011-2012 Dance Department News

  The new dance studio is up and running (or dancing to be more accurate!)  The space is filled with light, mirrors and shiny new dance floors.  This is a space befitting the state's renowned public school dance program. 
 
      In early December Ms. Kuhl was notified that she will be the recipient of the 2011 Howard County Arts Council Arts Educator Howie Award to be presented at the Council's Gala on March 24th.  Congratulations, Ms. Kuhl for a well deserved honor.
